"representation by touch"

this series of artists books are part of a larger body of work that contributes to a developing vocabulary that can articulately engage “tactile experience”, i.e. haptic perception, in the reception and evaluation of works of art.

the books are the outcome of investigations into “representation by touch” and “haptic explorative procedures”, employing humanity’s relationship with wilderness as a vehicle for those investigations.

ep’s is the first book in the series, grasping the nettle is the second, fragments of euclidean space suspended within the folds of smooth space, and more are currently in production.
