“ from the deep it came
unseen
darkness spewed from its mouth in silent words
gulping my life before i could breath
gnawing the chrome from my mind
through its eye
my unfeeling heart
began to awake
and tasted of salt
as I said I knew
but long wanted to forget
and the hurt it reawakened refused to subside
the cruel act
the cruel man
hidden like the deep creature
in the calm of the field
where other acts were buried
and my farse began to throb and pain
and though the creature brought such shame
its trauma released my fearfull heart
released to feel
both the darkness that Derrida refuses to sense
and this beast that can’t be known
till the heart will feel
till I only rest in Him “
